Rita Dominic, a Nollywood actress, denied rumors that she and her husband Fidelis had twins.
On Wednesday, news broke that the couple had given birth to their twins in the UK.
On social media, other Nigerians applauded her.
The actress, in response, labeled the allegation as “fake news.”
Rita and her purported twins were said to have been delivered early on September 21 and were both in wonderful health, according to rumors, which prompted congratulations from all over the world.
Rita Dominic, however, denied the allegation as untrue a few hours earlier when she posted on her verified Twitter account. The script interpreter uploaded a GIF of a man holding a piece of paper with the words “FAKE NEWS” written in big letters.
