Naija doesn’t know when to pause cruise, even in the toughest of times, and in the most serious circumstances there is always a cruise to catch but it may not be a completely bad thing.
Rewind to last week, when Bobrisky was awarded as the best dressed female in the Premiere of Eniola Ajao’s movie – Ajakaju, of course it sparked discontent, and the organizers came out a few days later to say it was all just cruise ‘garnering publicity and promoting her film through a strategic marketing tactic’ in her own words, so it was all just cruise.
Fast forward back to today, the day broke with news and photos showing the same cross-dresser being arrested and paraded by the EFCC for currency mutilation, it was reported that he (or she) was seen spraying the naira at a party the previous night.
While this is an established crime in Nigeria laws it’s also not the first time we have seen people do the same without any noise even on national TV also, one must establish that a crime is a crime and should be punished according to the laws of the land one is left to wonder if the EFCC chairman will not come out tomorrow to tell us that the Bobrisky Arrest was just to garner publicity or promote the commission even though I dont know what EFCC will do with attention or publicity, but in Naija you never say never especially when Bobrisky is involved.
The mugshot he (or she) displayed in the EFCC didn’t display gender also maybe that would have helped us to settle one part because in the EFCC story, we see Idris Olarewaju Okuneye addressed as a ‘he’ but just last week during the awards it was about a ‘she’.
Like Naija like Bobrisky nothing is clear.
