For the past seven months and counting, the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has been on strike. For some students, particularly those in their final year, this scenario has been depressing, but it has also been a blessing in disguise for others. When employers looking for employees want a nysc certificate or a degree outcome, it may be frustrating and disheartening for a student who should have graduated to be sitting at home unsure of what to do next.

However, there is still some hope since we can always find the positive. We can take advantage of this chance to develop talent and get involved in entrepreneurship. Participating in harmful acts like closing down airports, major thoroughfares, government parastatals, and other important locations may not assist at all.
